Lichfield cathedral by pattyblue

Lichfield cathedral

We spent today shopping and looking around Lichfield.
This is one of the doorways in the cathedral's west front showing a few of the 113 statues that adorn this side.
The cathedral has reduced opening times due to Covid so we couldn't go in but I took some exterior shots instead. Most of today's shots have gone into my deleted items as the light was poor and they weren't up to scratch but I thought this one was ok.
Great shot of this beautiful architecture.

That's a grim looking bunch of statues to welcome the congregation. Nobody's going in there feeling cheerful!

A lovely shot of this nice entrance. I visited this cathedral around 50 years ago. It has been on my list of places to revisit for a very long time. One day perhaps...
