The Silo Farm by pdulis

The Silo Farm

Iconic barns and sprawling rural landscapes are fading at an alarming rate. The concept of a small family farm—one that has been owned and operated by one family for possibly several generations—has been all but destroyed by the ever-encroaching crush of urbanization. Capture the moments while they are still with us.

Well said, Peter. Rural areas here have almost completely disappeared. Beautiful scene and so tranquil. This could make a lovely postcard.

I know all about the urbanization. Our town is trying to stop a mega development (changing our town population from 3,500 to 20,000) that will take over Class A farmland. It's a tough battle - since the home developer's pockets run deep! And we're the new commuter area to the GTA.
