Opened in 1881 as Beaver Knitting Mills, it harnessed the water flow and for fifty years its employees produced fleece-lined long underwear that became famous across Canada. Today its an arts centre.

Wow! I know some young people who complain about the cold in South Carolina. They could use some of that fleece-lined underwear today. Nice history and lovely shot!
@maggiemae - I think the polyester micro fleece has taken over the cheaper underwear product line - whereas the merino wool base-layer has taken over the high end line (thats the one I like :)
