Wet Peg by phil_howcroft

Wet Peg

My 6th picture in my 365 was 2 pegs on our washing line, back in February 2011 !!

http://365project.org/phil_howcroft/365/2011-02-04

So this is my second 'peg' image of my 365. I hope it warrants a place in my 365 and is different enough to make it an 'interesting shot' (not that a 'peg could ever be called interesting) !

It rained on Sunday morning, so the washing line and peg had some water droplets on them, therefore qualifying the image for the 'interesting' category and 'different enough' category from the two pegs from February !

WOW that a lot of commenting to justify a second 'peg' shot in 230+ images !!!

The DOF is quite, narrow due to the long zoom, but this helped create some nice bokeh

So a wet Sunday was not a good day for hanging the washing out
I like this so much it's a fav. I'm planning a peg shot one day!! Trouble is my pegs aren't very photogenic. This single peg is just lovely with the droplets and the shallow DOF.

I like the drop of water just starting to drip off the peg & you have very colourful line & pegs ...I am impressed with your co-ordination on wash day !! They do look very smart pegs...not Tesco ?

Perhaps the same people who stole your hanging basket stole your clothes peg too!

Lovin' the purple washing line. Cool shot!

@judithg thanks judith, it's a simple shot , but I'm quite pleased with it.

If your pegs aren't photogenic you could always nip to a 'peg shop' and buy a colourful range...you can never have enough pegs you know !

@happypat Pat , thanks for your kind words, I think the pegs are 'wilkos' ..the washing line is definitely from 'wilkos' :) .....it's a good drying day today :)

i thought i'd commented on this Phil, but it seems not! Maybe I was trying to think of something intelligent at the time!! well i still can't think of anything intelligent so I'll just say it shows how much you've improved over the months since the last shot - great composiitno and DOF and i really like that you've captured that rainy day feel

@sparkle thanks juliette, for your nice comments. My the first peg shot was done with my little panny lumix tz7 which doesn't have aperture priority , so it's really hard to control DOF.......this has been tweaked a bit on the saturation to emphasise the peg colour

Anything is made more interesting with rain drops added! I like the colors of this image and, as you say, the bokeh.
