We’ve walked for miles and had a fantastic day; the docks, The Cavern Club, The Terracotta Army at Liverpool’s World Museum (WOW - Fantastic), caught up with an old Army buddy now running a narrow boat business, eaten at Jamies and we are now back in the hotel bar with G&T
@maggiemae They're the real thing. The 8 Warriors, the 2 models and every artifact; all genuine. Cost the museum £5.2m to get them and HM Government are underwriting the insurance as they are uninsurable.
Sounds like a fabulous day. We saw the Terracotta Warriors in Sydney a few years ago, a fabulous exhibition.
I saw Cilla at the Cavern Club too in the '60s before she was famous. Didn't manage ever to see The Beatles though.
@onewing Wow Babs, my Sister in Law would be so jealous as she is a massive Cilla fan. (You must have been very unlucky to have missed the Beatles, they played the Cavern 292 times apparently)
@phil_sandford I lived in Manchester at the time so only got to Liverpool occasionally. Plus also I was probably underage too to get in most places. Needless to say I lied about my age.
It does sound a wonderful day!
