These are the variagated maples in my back garden, now in full leaf. LIke last year, and the year before, and the year before that, they are displaying predominantly different leaf colours; yet where they 'touch' the colours move across to the other tree. I've been told it's because they are opposite genders, but have no idea if that is the case.
