Kolossi Steps by phil_sandford

Kolossi Steps

These are the steps that go up (and down) in Kolossi Castle (photo yesterday) Cyprus. The castle was once a Crusader Fort, built in the 13th Century. The stairway is solid stone, four flights, and possibly in as good condition today as they were when first laid back in the 13th Century.

Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated.

I really like this! & of course I knew what it was straight away, love the curves.

This is wonderful, Phil! Your exposure is perfect to show the detail on the lovely old stairs.
BTW - there is a B&W stair challenge that ends on Monday. Tag is bw-32.

Love it, it is very narrow. I hope you were able to keep your sword arm free.

Really nice composition. Those stairs look like they would be hard to use with such narrow steps.
