Continuing my ongoing project, another shot of my back garden, one month on from the last one.
Spent pretty much all of yesterday in the garden; really gorgeous weather, especially for a British Bank Holiday weekend.
We have colour by way of tulips (such as there are (we’ve lost so many over the last year, either haven’t come up at all (I blame the squirrels) or have come up blind (I blame the pesticides killing the bees)); the magnolia still has some blooms, the mystery tree is that weird colour between blossom and leaf and the Maple’s are being to produce their leaves. Allimums are sprouting, but some way away from colour just yet. Lawn is a mess; took this ‘after’ I’d mowed the lawn but ‘before’ I scarified it. We have Grandchildren coming for an Easter Egg Hunt tomorrow, so I won’t bother patching the bald bits just yet.
Thank you for your continued interest in my garden/yard. All of the previous photographs are tagged philsgarden and if you wish to see it change through the months (obviously only if you feel that way inclined and have nothing better to do) then click on that tag.
Our yard is very green right now because we have had almost twice normal rainfall this year, but we had such drought in the past that we couldn’t water either and just abandoned the lawn altogether. Have fun at the Easter egg hunt.
So squirrels eat tulip bulbs?! I must tell my sister because she’s been devastated about her tulip bed this year. Very few came up. I love your garden shots and I think your lawn and beds look great.
