Murder Scene

Carole I went out yesterday afternoon, in torrential rain to try and find a couple of Poppyfields that we have been told about; we did find them, but we didn’t get out of the car; we plan to go back mid week. However, on getting home last night I noticed this mess in the garden. We obviously had not been at home when our resident sparrowhawk came in for dinner.

We think from the yellow in the feathers that this is the remains of a Blue Tit.

Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated.
Hope poppy fields survive the rain. Do you have a new wife???

I envy you the poppy fields and I hope you manage to get some photos. I also envy you the rain, we’re desperate for some over here in Herefordshire.

@30pics4jackiesdiamond Damn auto correct.
As for the rain, the poppies were all flattened, we’re hoping that come mid week they may have recovered.

I know it’s what sparrow hawks are designed to do, but I do feel sorry for their victims!
