Sunflower bumble bee Photobomb

Carole and I were only saying the other day that we hadn’t seen any fields bordered by wild flowers or sunflowers this year. Lots of fields last year, and the year before, had them to provide food for the insects that would eat the insects that damage the crops. Lincolnshire seems pretty much devoid of it this year.

On my way to collect the Grandwobs (we have them for the week (be still my beating heart)) not that far from home I suddenly saw a strip of sunflowers bordering a field. They’re not very tall, but they are the length of the field.

Had to stop the car and grab a couple of pictures with my phone.

Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated.
Sunflowers have some great textures. =)
