Honey Dew Melon by phil_sandford

Honey Dew Melon

Thankfully, one of the few fruits left that I can eat. In the late 80s I became horrendously allergic to many fruits - apples, cherries, kiwi, pears and to a lesser degree thn the rest, strawberries. Even now, I will prepare an hour or so before I eat Strawberries, by taking an anti-histamine

This taken just before I cut up the melon for Carole's coming week.
Looks great and perfect for this hot weather.

Lovely photo, I love honey dew melon too. Well my goodness, allergic to fruit?! I think I would die if I couldn't eat fruit.

Looks very good. That is a terrible allergy. I'm allergic to shellfish but I think fruit would be worse.

@boatman137 @beryl @louannwarren @carole_sandford @dawnee @lyndamcg @royrj @30pics4jackiesdiamond @henrir Thank you all

@30pics4jackiesdiamond She can, I can't (that said, I just had 2 Cherries and not strange feelings in throat or increase in heart rate - but as Carole said, "they were Waitrose Cherries, so possibly better class) :-)

@30pics4jackiesdiamond What my Dr suggested all those years ago. I can eat most of the fruits when they've been cooked, such as apples. Hey ho. Compared to what I was like as a kid, I'm pretty happy
