Alliums

Carole and I only 'found' these gorgeously symetrical, incredibly delicate, plants a couple of years ago when we first visited the Japanese Garden (see our photos of the last 2 days)

They're also known as 'ornamental onions' (being of the same genus) and, comsidering how many are in our garden this year, indeed spread.
