My back was up to a short walk around Hackthorn Hall this afternoon with Carole's brother and sister-in-law who we haven't seen for almost a year.
Whereas we know the village well (the man who repaired my Father's clock lives there) we often wondered what was at the end of 'that' lane.
Lots of gardens have been open for charity this weekend, within the National Garden Scheme and Hackthorn Hall is one of them. Lovely gardens, lovely hall (available for weddings, but not open today) and a classic walled kitchen garden, all incredbly well tended and awash with plants.
This Digitalis (Foxglove) was down by the river, and was being visited by quite a few bees; hope you like
