Another of my favourite plants for an English Country Garden, the Red Hot Poker, or Kniphofia to give it its Latin name.
I'm sure we used to have more of these in the garden, but this year just the three have flowered. They're in an area that gets over grown with grass and other wild plants, so perhaps I need to move them (or buy more).
Another gorgeous day in the shire; with Carole at work all day, I have spent nearly all of it in the garden, now to catch up with some recorded sport before getting ready to travel SW for the week
You can read more about the Kniphofia if you want to - here
@boatman137 Thank you Shirley.
Back is much improved thank goodness. Appointment in a week or so with chiripractor, but far less painful than a week ago.
They are beautiful flowers. I see them growing here sometimes in the bushland. I think the seeds escape gardens and they just grow wild. They are huge and look like tall beacons.
