Another raptor from our trip to the zoo on Wednesday; not sure what this is, there was no sign anywhere. It's shackled to the bar, and on a few occasions it flapped its wings and tried to fly. Zoos were part of my growing up (Whipsnade, Snetterton, Banham etc) and I thought nothing of them, just somewhere we could go and see animals. Now, as old age approaches, I find them quite appalling.
Thank you for your continued follows, views, comments and favs; always very much appreciated.
A sad capture - both your shot and the bird.
I get so frustrated with poorly run zoos. Many - if not most - zoos today are wonderful places for animals to live with ample room and a natural environment. They tend to limit the number of animals to the space they have thus ensuring the animals have lots of room and stimulation.
This one is obviously not one of them!
