In Flight

You wouldn’t believe how hard this beauty was to capture. Carole and I sat for some time not far from the statue of Duchess Elizabeth in the Duchess’s garden at Belvoir Castle by the small pond being harassed by a very inquisitive dragonfly. I swear it was teasing us, but it didn’t stop still once. I actually managed to catch it a few times, but this was far and away the best.

Oh yes I certainly understand. It's very difficult to capture a bird in flight let alone a smaller dragonfly. But you did it!

What a great capture -- I also like the framing because it makes it seem that the dragonfly is going to fly straight out of the frame, it's moving so fast.
