Carole and I took a drive out this afternoon to the location Richard ( @rjb71 ) kindly passed to me. We had gone down last week, in a monsoon, and found the site, but we didn’t get out of the car. Weather today was better, much better, but not perfect and we spent a good hour or so immersed in their beauty.
Were it possible to simply walk into a pub, have a meal, we’d have done that and gone back for a sunset, but sadly the world is no linger like that.

Tremendous against that red background. Poppies make me smile whilst still always having a poignant heart pull in their significance. Such beautiful resilient yet fragile things. Definitely not poppied out - always enjoy seeing your images.
