Carole and popped out to catch the sunset this evening, we hoped it would be along the river; it wasn't, it wasn't even near and to add injury to insult, it was cr@p. Did catch these padlocks on the bridge (not a patch on Point Neuf in Paris) which I thought would fit the bill for this week's tag
Nice find, I must admit I didn’t see this at all. @30pics4jackiesdiamond haven’t seen it in this country very much. We first saw it on one of the bridges across the Seine in Paris. A way of declaring your love for someone & I suppose if it’s padlocked to something, they think it will last forever. However in Paris, they had to remove them, because they became so heavy & I think were causing damage. A popular trend, but not seen here particularly.
Good for the topic, a trend that is gaining traction in the USA also....I think there are locks made specifically for this purpose...I've seen engraved locks with couples' names. Marketing at it's finest.
