Tigers vs Saracens today, everybody’s least favourite English rugby side (unless of course you support them) and pantomime villains. 4 years ago it was discovered that they had breached the salary cap (an agreed limit of what the sides are allowed to pay their squad) and they were deducted 25 points. They then refused to open their books for a forensic audit and received a further 60 point deduction consigning them to relegation. The report into the scandal stated that they had breached the rules on an industrial scale. Anyway, they were promoted back to the Premiership in 2021 (with the exact same squad of players 🤷♂️) and we beat them in the 2022 final and then in 2023 they won the league. Today we beat them keeping our faint hopes of making the play offs alive.
