In art class at school (grade 10, I think?) we had to do a project called Distorted Self-Portraits. We had to look at our reflections in something that distorted them (doorknobs, spoons, taps, tea kettles, etc) and draw what we saw.
I took this photo of our shadows on the light layer of snow and looking at the funny proportions it occurred to me that shadow photos are distorted self-portraits after a fashion as well!
As you can see, we are not in the part of southern Ontario that has gotten literally several feet of snow this weekend. We have gotten a bit (although there's just a dusting in this photo) and there's more in the forecast, so we are sorry of v on watch... but the huge dumpings have been right along the lakeshores, whereas we live more inland between the lakes (about an hour from Erie and Ontario; closer to two hours from Huron).
