Chris spotted this hawk perched atop an evergreen on a little strip of land between a major highway and a smaller road. We stopped briefly in a parking lot along the smaller road, and I snapped a few pictures. It's very zoomed as I was trying not to get too close and scare the bird away!
I don't know why it's holding its one wing funny, but Christopher thinks it's fine. I guess he's probably right since it got all the way up to the very top of that tree!
