This dam on the Speed River is in the part of town where I grew up. I'm pretty sure I've posted a photo of it before, but when I happened to see it lit up in my favourite colours, I couldn't resist photographing it again!
It's almost impossible to see, but there is a bird standing on top of the dam on the left side. Of course I only had a cell phone with me at the time, not the proper camera with its long lenses, so I couldn't see the bird super well even though I went closer than I was when I took this picture. I think it was a bittern of some kind, but I guess we'll never be sure!
