Normally the sheep take off the moment you stop for a photo but these guys were a bit hungry and reluctant to leave the hay. Nevertheless I was quickly left with a single sheep on the first layer so glad I snapped this safety shot.
Despite the rain a couple of days ago and the appearance of some superficial green, there's not much to eat.
Great capture. Love the soft colours. We have had the same lack of rain here during the summer and had to feed our horses and cow as well. Never happend Before as I can recall.
It still looks dry and brown/yellow on the hills beyond. So glad this farmer is bringing in extra feed for his sheep. In the Western Cape, South Africa we are experiencing the same thing - hungry livestock and bare fields due to the crippling drought.
I feel for the farmers & live stock.
