Pollard willows by pyrrhula

Pollard willows

We have polders , dykes and...... pollard willows.
They often very affected but it seems they never die
Love your composition here. These are very interesting trees. Will you show them to us again in a couple of months when they are green?

Wow, the trunk looks so deteriorated. I too would love to see them in a couple months when they start to bloom with their leaves. I love the composition of this shot. I bet that road is gorgeous in the summer!

Great shot of them along the top of the dyke. This looks very familiar to me, I think I cycled there with my friend.

They look like they have been there for many, many years. I think they would look at home in one of J. R. R. Tolkien's books..
