It`s a bit like a bonsai , I`m not Japanese I do not follow the rules of it. I just put trees in a pot or jar and keep them small . ( they do it thereself to) I`m fascinated by how they want to grow. Often those are trow aways or findings. I nurse abouth 75 of those trees.
5 different Cheanomeles. The oldes are 30 years in my possession. It`s keep my at home and buzy
It is a quince tree I think. Friends in China grow these and I have made delicious jam with the fruit. There is a tradition at Spring Festival to put one outside the door of a home where there are daughters of a marriageable age and the flowers represent love and fertility. That is a delightful "bonsai"!
