Not ready yet

I did take this pic with Tony J Sisty in mind. On a pic in spring he ask me why there was so much space between the plants. It`s needed, they grow ( My dear wife was so kind to pose to show how big the potato plants are now and they are not ready yet.
everything looks so healthy with the summer rains and sun shine. Lovely image!

I can't believe these are potato plants! I never knew they grew so big! My father used to pick potatoes in Maine when he was a kid - I'll have to show him this photo to see if the potatoes he picked were ever this big! Great shot!

@sparkleplenty1 Joyce, I agree, I have lived in Maine , and have visited Presque Isle , Maine , and the potato plants there were not the size of these plants, and this area is one of our top growing potato areas.....

Wow, I see what yoU meant about the spacing, you must have some every fertile soil there to get such a crop !and as you indicated, these potatoes were not even ready yet to harvest , this is amazing!!, I wonder if other root vegetables offer the same productivity as these potatoes will...thank you for your kind reply, very interesting!, a definite FAV.

Good shot. These potato plants are huge. I have dug up my potatoes right before the heat waves started. A neighbor can't get his potatoes dug up because the ground is too hard. The potato plants here are dead due to the heat and drought.
