Alyssum by pyrrhula

Alyssum

Field of Alyssum.
For my dear fried Hazel. This field of flowers smells very strong. I took several pic.`s (for about halve an hour) and two hours later , when I get home, I`ve a kind of a headache and still smells it. Ina say lovely, I say stinking.
Beautiful capture and insert. It must be fabulous to see all that field. FAV.
What program do you use to add the insert?

@anazad511

Ana, you can do this on Picasa - I learnt how to do it after seeing Ferry's lovely pics with insets!

Ferry, I hope you have not got hay fever - I don't know what alyssum smells like so I don't know whether to agree with you or Ina! It does look very beautiful, thank you!!!

@anazad511 Thanks dear AnaZAd for you always so nice comments and this fav. Im very pleased with both
I`ve used Picasa 3.
Collect and save the two pic.`s in a new album. Make a collage and use one pic. for background. Then remove this pic. by bring it to/and over the side . The insert pic. you can make it bigger and smaller by scrolling on it.

Yes, the important bit is to have a new folder with just the 2 (or however many) photos in it that you want to be in the collage. otherwise Picasa hooks in all the photos in an album - took me a little while to work that part out!

I'm with your wife. I love alyssum. Assoon as I looked at this I could imagine the perfume. I would think I was in heaven if I was in a field of Alyssum. Thanks for the collage. Gives all the information I need except what do they do with the flowers. Are they harvested for perfume or seed perhaps? Must be lovely to be able to access such beauty. Sorry you had to suffer a headache to share.

Nice composition of those two photos. Giving an idea how it looks in the larger perspective. Are those flowers just decorative or having another usage?

Alyssum has such a sweet smell. I could see that it could produce a bit of a headache. Must be something to see a whole field of it.

Really nice shot - I guess a big field would give off an overpowering smell.

It must be awesome to see the fields of flowers. I have never noticed the perfume of alyssum before and don't have any in our garden this year to try it.
