How to grow a new Ginger plant

My dear friend and follower AnnaZad did a pic. of a blooming ginger plant. See: http://365project.org/anazad511/my-3rd-year-ove/2014-10-01
And an explanation to grow new ones. I just did grow this one from a small piece of Ginger we use in the kitchen. After this I`ve it planted it in a pot with good soil and has become bigger with new leaves.
Cool shot

Look at the many roots and how tall it's already. good luck with it. Hans always tries to grow an avocado tree, but it get's to tall and spindle and the leaves always fall off.

Good shot and a great idea I love to try to propagate plants in this way - it gives great pleasure and it is a cheap way to obtain a new plant !!

Well, how about that! It reminds me of how we used to take the pits of avocados and put them in water and grow a plant that way. You have a green thumb!

You are an expert in this, Pyrrhula. I do that many times with all sorts of plants - many of them just wither. Love how you showed it off.
