Aqua farming by pyrrhula

Aqua farming

With so much water around there are several companies that cultivate sea life. Like fish, seaweed and sea vegetable`s This is ( I suppose and I`m quiet sure of it but there was no one to ask) growing mussels on lines. (we call them: hang mosselen.)
great use of all your water :)

Mussel farming is very prevalent in Nova Scotia waters just off the shore line. They're not my favorite seafood, but when people order them in restaurants, they come in large bowl, filled to overflowing! At that rate, the aqua farmers need to raise a lot of mussels to feed a hungry population! Your photo shows us a very tidy and attractive "farm"... Such a good idea!

I have a good friend who farms oysters in cages something like this. Makes his job so much easier than it used to be. Right now he can't get to his product because of the ice.
