Windmill De Put the Galgewater in the Dutch city of Leiden is one from 1987 dating replica of the mill by Jan Jansen Son Put.
The original mill dated from 1619, and the first mill in 1640 burned down. After the timber mill after it was rebuilt, it was in 1729 to make way for a mill equal windmill De Valk. This mill, which named the Coornbloem / Cornflower / The Flour Mill (Walmolen) wore, was in 1817 demolished. Archaeologists discovered in 1982 the foundations of the octagonal mill stronghold. In 1983, within the framework of the 25th anniversary of the Rhenish Windmill Foundation put forward the idea of the old bastion build a mill. This idea was finally realized four years later.
The mill has the status municipal monument. Next to the mill is the Rembrandt Bridge, also a replica from the same time period, built in 1983.

Mooi hoor! Een paar jaar geleden nog met gehele familie van mijn vaders kant (dus neven en nichten, ooms, tantes) een van de molens bezocht en een stadswandeling gedaan. Erg leuk. Mooie hofjes hebben ze ook.
