Did had a nice talk with this two chap`s about the economy of the tulips. The owner of the land was contracted by a firm to grow the bulbs for this season. After harvest they go back to a store ( in an other place in the country) and be selected on size and quality. Next year the will grow up in a glass/hot house to grow up for cut flowers, Those you can buy in a flower shop. After that the bulb is worthless and will be destroyed and recycled. ( The bulb need a grow after flowering to get the energy for a next year. By cutting it off you make this impossible.)
Those two man was hired to inspect and remove the no good/real species.
Gorgeous fields of tulips yet again - so beautiful and colourful , it must be such a pleasure to go out to see them all A great pov with the rows of tulips going on for ever with the men well placed for a great composition ! fav
Am loving your pictures of all these lovely tulip fields and the information, very interesting. We have similar fields here in Cornwall......but ours are all filled with daffodils......
