This is what grows the crops the best: our soil : clay. Hard to treat but the reward is always worth it. Of course you need the craftmanship of the farmer to it. But this is the basis.
Pic. taken this lovely afternoon.
Haze, sun and a temp. of +/- 15 degrees Celc. (60 Far.)
Hard to believe that crops grow in clay. they must fertilize quite a bit. looks nice and rich and I love the row of trees in the background.
Ferry, I have a questions. do you still have my e-mail address. I think we changed it over the years. if you be so kind and put the number 30 after the four front initials and change the provider from rogers.com to gmail.com. our computer has crashed and I don't have your e-mail anymore. would like to e-mail us so I get your e-mail address again. I have some questions you might be able to answer for me. thank you Ferry.
This is a great shot, Ferry. It is so massive the fields there. We have clay soil as well. It is so hard to work with at our house and the same in the fields too. I love the row of trees in the background too.
That is very interesting as clay soil in our neck of the woods is not good for growing things. However, the soil here is more rocky than anything else. Nice shot.
A special thank you for posting this shot for me, Pyrrhula. I guess the clay soil holds more water and if it is not excessive it is good for the crops. I don't think it is good for walking on when it is soggy. Beautiful scene and I like the background with the row of trees.
