The hedge by pyrrhula

The hedge

The hedge. Not a wall to keep people out, most entrances are open , but a protection against wind and frozen. Inside there is an orchard.
Those (lots of) hedges are a real landmark in this
part of the country.
I`ll do a serie comming as I`m inspired by the lines they made in the countries nature.
The hedge is beautiful and perfect! Love this photo!

Wonderful capture and it makes a lot of sense that they use the hedges to protect the orchards.

I so admire your hedges -- so well looked after , all in perfect straight lines and evenly topped hedges not only give protection to the crops from the elements ,but also protection and natural habitat to wild life and birds ! A great pov with the hedge forming a nice pattern against the sky !

Beautiful shot and pov, Pyrrhula. Fav. Orchards need these shelters even more that plants in order not to lose their fruit because of high winds.

A super shot - looks as if the top of the hedge has been recently trimmed?
