Are the hedges "bushes" that grow tall, or are they single trees that grow branches together (tangled?) It's interesting (as I saw in the other photos) that they're so tidy on the top in an even row and not bushy!

Thank you, Ferry for the information! I hadn't thought about the trees also blocking sunlight! Clearly the Dutch have had generations of success in holding the soil together to their good use and keeping the ocean where you want it to be! Very interesting!

@Weezilou Water attack us from three sides. From heaven above , from the rivers that comes from our back and the sea on front .
