does the dike always prevent all flooding? we use what we call a levee wall in the town near me but this year the flood came over the wall - devastating! this image really interested me as well as it is a beautiful photo!
My goodness, this really gives some perspective to how high the water level is in comparison to the farmlands and fiels. This is a lovely vista with the great clouds in the sky and curving road matching the shoreline.
