A field of Gladiolus. by pyrrhula

A field of Gladiolus.

A field of Gladiolus growing the bulbs bigger.
I love the pop of red of the gladioli flower here and there in the field . Are the flowering stems cut off so that the bulb grows bigger ?

Are these like the tulip fields, where the bulbs are all supposed to be the same colour and if any are the wrong colour, they are pulled out?

I really like this image though it's not like so many other flower fields you have shown

I, too, like the little pops of red throughout the image. It's interesting to learn how these are "farmed". There's a tremendous amount of work goes on in these fields.
