Head hunting. by pyrrhula

Head hunting.

Gladly I was just in time to capture some of the fields before they are all head hunted. This is the fate of all tulips because it is intended that the bulbs grow thicker. The energy that the flowers need can end up in the bulb better
A glorious scene under a beautiful sky , as these tulips wait their fate . A lovely pov , with leading lines . fav

Oh my goodness. It just seems wrong to do that to them.

So sad to see them mowed down- even though I understand why- I wonder if they'd let you cut a few before they plowed.

Oh sad to see the flower heads gone but all in a good cause.

@olivetreeann No, they just cut off the flower`s head. If you want it into a vase you need the stem to.

Beautiful shot. Do you mean that all those wonderful flowers are wasted? How sad they don't find a way to sell the flowers, too.

I understand why this is done but it's sad to see. I wondered if in some areas the flowers might have been used in the floats for Bloemencorso?
