Black is the common historical color on the barns in our area. They where painted with tar as it was cheap. (Forbidden by now).
The barn is buld in +/- 1890.
The machinery is an old plough.
Red is always pictured as the predominant barn color here, but white and bare wood are just as visible. Tar was used more on roofs but I imagine it's no longer used for roofing- just for roads. I like the leopard!
