COROKIA COTONEASTER.
My wife bought this shrub as a small (10'')indoor plant and later planted it in our garden. Now it is 6/7 feet high and blooms in the spring. After some searching on the internet I found out the name and that it is native to New Zealand. On the other down side of the world from us
it looks nice and it has adapted very well to your climate. Win-win!
(Our yard is not as large as the fields in your photos, of course. But we do have a lot of forget me nots :D )
