......ready for our next group meeting on Monday. One of the lovely ladies in the group lent me this little book & I managed to find copies for all of us - really good to read & discuss in a group & a great addition to our existing repertoire.
@crisd Cris, Ich glaube dass du Deutsch gut genug sprichst. (Kann man hier duzen?) Ich habe Deutsch seit mehr als 40 Jahren (!!) bis A-level zu Schule gelernt. Vor drei oder zwei Jahren wollte ich die Sprache ein bisschen 'renovieren.' Es macht mir viel Spass.
@tandem02 Ich finde es leichter eine ordentliche Sprache zu lernen und auch war ich nur 14 Jahre alt als ich mit Deutsch begann. Nach meine Meinung ist Englisch ein bisschen eine 'mongrel language!' Man glaubt dass es darin nicht so viel Grammatik gab - aber für Rechtsschreibung! Ich arbeitete mit dyslektischen Erwachsenen & ich interessiere mich veil für Sprache.
@judithg Only for pure pleasure in Winchester U3A groups! I studied them both for A-level more moons ago than I care to remember. I read all the time in French but my German is not that advanced. I was in a Spanish group but recently gave that up, partly because on the rare occasions I go to Spain people insist on speaking to me in English!!!
