It somehow seemed appropriate this morning to take and upload my first shot with my new camera of this Compassion rose which grows and smells beautiful on our kitchen wall.
I think I'm bit hung up on the word 'tools' maybe confusing it with inspiration. But what helps me to be creative:
1.subject matter, often around the house and garden (we won't mention Jinks here)
2. camera, of course
3. word of the day (thanks @bulldog)
4. all your lovely pics
5. being a member of 365
6. my own brain
.....the last is pretty important and I wanted to buy a walnut to use the kernel as a respresentation of a brain but it's not close enough to Christmas to buy walnuts (and I thought you would not appreciate yet another selfie)
Have a great weekend, everybody!
The most beautiful rose Hazel and a wonderful way to baptise your new camera! How exciting to have a new tool of creativity!! Love your text too - I always do!
Patricia, thank you for your generous comments and thank you for saying them! (We are coming to Suffolk in Sept so I am wondering if we shall be able to pop in and see you?)
Beauriful rose and photo of it, the Panasonics are good (think I misunderstood yesterday, realise you were still using your 'old' camera, took a good picture though - just like my little x-70 still does!)
I don't have spellcheck on the laptop, forgive the odd spelling! Just back from visiting Tina's dad in Worthing, and Tina had an annual check-up this morning (all OK). He's doing well, slow but sustained improvements since Monday. Now we think he will be OK for a care home, we weren't sure at one time last week. But he won't be able to go home again, he needs and deserves looking after, which we will ensure, independent of social services and all that lot!
@ivan
Thank you for your comments and the fav. I'm sure I shall still use my little camera, just looking forward to a bit more scope with the new. What good news for Tina's dad. Now you will be busy choosing a good place for him. Good luck!
How exciting to try out all the new possibilities and not be limited by the camera, Lot of experiments to try .
A wonderful capture of this beautiful rose.
What a beautiful rose Hazel and a wonderful capture with your new camera!! Always exciting to have a new toy to play with and I am looking forward to seeing all your shots!! Love your notes on your creativity tools!!
Thanks for all your comments and I can't believe how different it is to have a new camera, especially when I always thought my p&s was the bees' knees! Well, I know I shall still use it sometimes - great to have a choice. I'm happy you liked my notes as I like writing as much as taking pics.
Beryl, thanks, you're so kind, made my day. When I can work out where the macro is on the camera, I'll be even happier than I am now!
Thank you for comments and fav! Think I''m going to like this camera!
Thank you and thank you! Think I shall love my Panasonic too!
Thanks, I'm hoping to be amazed by the zoom - it's one of the reaons I bought a better camera - watch this space!

Rosie, thank you and I seem to have made an unexpectedly good start with this new camera.
Don't be modest, you do all the hard work.

Thanks Richard - I think I'm very happy with this new camera!
Paula, perhaps it's that the more sophisticated the camera, the easier it is to get good pics with it!!!!
Sandy, pleased you got some ideas from my post - I'm alwayson the look out for new ideas too!!
