This post was not originally intended to be so topical but we have had howling winds all night here, still blowing and cold.
I used to see white windflowers like these years ago in the woods on walks with my granddad but I have no idea if these ones are cultivated versions of the same. They were blowing gently and beautifully in the front lawn of a village house at Easton.

Luckily the garden was on a higher level than the path!
