surprise

Ages ago a friend gave me a cutting from one of her plants. It's been sitting in the lounge in a little pot, a bit neglected, getting some water when I remembered and having its dead lower leaves cut off.

About 2 weeks ago I was doing a 'little light dusting' when I noticed it had grown a flower stalk.

And here it is now, captured in the illustration picture effect and I've remembered it's a clivia.
This is just gorgeous - and I like that you can see the shadows from the flower. Fav

@dide

Thank you - had a bit of trouble with the lighting. I almost never use flash but used fill-flash here and it worked OK.

I LOVE this! With so many artistic applications out there, we might only have time to admire the ones others use! It's quite wonderful!

This is lovely. I have clinics flowering in my garden at the moment but the slugs get to them first so very few flowers without chew holes.
