Such a job, huh? I finally got mine caught up and now try to review every month and toss out the bad ones. I did get an external hard drive with software that backs things up automatically so that's a bit help.

I had an external hard drive, then updated my OS. The hard drive quit working. I got a new one. I plugged the old one up yesterday and tried to rescue some photos that were missing for some reason. Got some, but not all. They were old. I read somewhere that one should download to files and import them in to use programs like iPhoto and Photoshop. I'm doing that and I'm going to save them to the extra (old) external hard drive. Probably they are not really worth all this, but it is easier than printing them all and keeping up with all that paper.
