I think it's rather a shame that so many of the early flowers are yellow...daffodils, crocus, narcissi, primroses, wallflowers, forsythia...that I
wait with baited breath for coloured flowers, aka not yellow so that we can enjoy a full spectrum of colour and variety.
Forsythia grows really well with us - I have three of them. I'm a little like Margo - I like the other colours too, and often ponder on how odd it is that Spring flowers do tend to be yellow. Nice shot and appropriate title Kathy.
@pyrrhula Mine's not doing too well. This one was around the block and not too terrible touched by the frost and freezing weather we've had lately.
Thank you. @vignouse It does burst into bloom at the slightest bit of warm weather (sometimes prematurely). Thank you Richard. @s4sayer There are many yellow flowers right now. But I have a mass of phlox that are shades of purple and pink which offset the yellow. Thanks for your comments. @lyndemc Thank you Denise. I saw some more violets today at a friend's house but didn't take the time to take a photo. @jamibann Yes, there does seem to be a lot of yellow. It's like a shot of sunshine. Thank you Issi. @tosee Thank you Tom. @craftymeg Thanks Margaret. It is an early bloomer.
Have one in our garden blooming too.
