I always knew how to recognize the leaves but never paid much attention to the vines. We moved into a rental home when my sons were younger and just after winter when the weather started to warm up I went out to the backyard and removed some vines that were smothering a Dogwood tree- haha only to find out rather quickly it was poison ivy which hadn't gotten its leaves yet! Needless to say I always wore gloves after that even when I knew it wasn't poison ivy! Great texture on this shot- makes me a little itchy just looking at it!!
@olivetreeann good story Ann. I'm not sure that I'm allergic but I've taken every precaution to avoid a reaction, including bathing in Fels Naptha soap after a potential exposure. @pyrrhula Thank you Ferry @thewatersphotos Thanks Gary @mzzhope being the naturalist that you are and the fact that you live on the Eastern seaboard, I'm not surprised you recognize it. Thank you. @kwind Thank you Kim @fbailey Thanks Felicity @craftymeg Appreciate you comments Margaret. @haskar Thank you Haskar @tunia Sorry Tunia. I'm afraid there was no way to warn you in advance.
