@jamibann Thank you Issi. My mother's silver plate flat wear. The label says "1947 Rogers Bros." @wakelys Thank you Susan. I'm lucky to have it. @jb030958 Jennie, they're not backwards. I think the font makes it difficult to read. 1947 Rogers Bros. And you're quite welcome to do this shot. Rarely do two people look at the same thing the same way. We're getting to the end of the month and the "s" words are getting fewer. @kaylynn2150 Thank you Kaylynn. @ziggy77 Thanks so much Jo. @thewatersphotos Thank you Gary. It brings back nice memories. I need to get it out and use it more. Perhaps when we quit eating with plastic packed with take out meals. @grammyn Thanks very much Katy.
Pretty set- I don't have silver. I always thought I'd inherit my mothers, but apparently my sister sold it without telling my other sister and I. She's never really fessed up to doing it but everything points in that direction. Thankfully, I'd taken the china with me one time (with my father's permission) otherwise, I think she would have sold that too. Don't wait for the plastic to go away- eat with the silver anyhow!
when i bought a set of fine china and silver flatware, my sisters and the help were wary of using them for everyday use. i always told them that the fried dried fish would always taste good when eaten on fine china and silver flatware. as ann @olivetreeann said, use the silver, the take-outs will taste better, and you'd feel like a million dollars!
@wakelys Thank you Susan. I'm lucky to have it.
