Swing and Follow Through

Get-Pushed Challenge - week 426
My get-pushed partner challenged me to capture movement. Because of the weather yesterday, I wasn't able to take the photos I wanted to. So I took some shots of the tee off on Hole 1. This is not a photographic depiction of movement in the usual sense, but it is a sequence of this man's swing, drive and follow through.

I volunteered to help at a charity golf tournament yesterday. Mostly my task was to take team photos and candid shots. The weather was misty all day, not a great day for taking the camera out. I'm hoping it didn't get too damp.
Very well done, it gives a great sense of the swing !

@la_photographic Thank you for the challenge. I hope this is ok. It's probably not exactly what you had in mind when you gave me the challenge. I offer no excuses, except that I had planned to more at the golf tournament, but the weather was lousy to be out on the golf course.

I think you did a great job! Not sure how you did it though. 😕

I think it is spectacular, Kathy. A perfect sequence.

Nicely done!

I don't know how you did it, probably lots of photo shop magic!

nicely put together. Its always challenging to get a shot in the wet while trying not to ruin the camera!

Thank you Corinne, Carol, Katy, Kathy, Julie, Jennie, Wylie, Jo, Gary, Yolanda and Margaret for all the supportive comments. This is a composite of 5 consecutive shots laid side by side in photoshop. I initially tried to get the core of the man with all the various positions but because his body position changed so much, it really looked terrible. The weather was mostly misty, but toward the end of my day, I realized it was turning into more of a rain. One of the team shots I took later had rain visible against their dark coats and pants. My camera seems to be ok. I don't know how wet it has to get to hurt it or what happens to the camera when it does get wet. I had thought to bring it home and put it in a bag of rice, but somewhere that thought left my head before I got home.

Splendid! VML the middle shot...no hands!
September 27th, 2020
You have definitely captured movement.
September 27th, 2020
Looks great.

I think you did a great job in capturing movement this way. (And as far as I know it's never to late to stick the camera in some rice if there's moisture inside.)
September 27th, 2020
Great shots of the movement.
September 27th, 2020
Bravo! VERY well done! I'd say you met your challenge very well.
September 28th, 2020
i think it clearly shows movement; fantastic response to the push. aces!

@s4sayer @wakelys @olivetreeann @pyrrhula @mcsiegle @summerfield Thank you Margo, Susan, Ann, Ferry, Mary and Vikki.

@s4sayer That little gray streak in front of his lower legs is the club and his hands and arms are in front of him (away from me).

@olivetreeann The camera seems to be doing fine. I don't really think it got very wet.
