Another adequate Christmas lights photo. This one is from last night's excursion. My friend's church had a drive by Christmas tree lane. Different groups from her church sponsored a tree. The plan was to say a prayer for specific groups (think emergency medical technicians, hospital staff, postal workers & other essential workers, teachers, etc.) as you drove by the tree decorated accordingly. There was opportunity to leave non-perishable foods for the local food bank, warm clothes for the local shelter and $$ for a local agency that has the food and opportunities for homeless to shower and wash clothes and get clothes, etc. Nice idea especially now. At the end there was an opportunity for a coffee or hot chocolate provided by a local Guatemalan business and to buy fair trade coffee and teas and chocolates offered by the same business. A brief but fun outing.
I love what this photo represents! It is a more than adequate photo! I think I would have tried to eliminate the brake lights of the car ahead soomehow. Maybe paint them out?
Well, I'm the lone person who thinks the tail lights give context to the shot. It tells me you're driving through the trees and looking at the lights. I probably would have cloned out the streaks though- was there a windshield wiper going or something? That probably would have taken some time, but if it was the only shot I had to work with I would have done it. Anyway- I like how this church has incorporated several creative ways of giving to those in need and celebrating Christmas.
( I did. Often I take more than one pic. and choose the best.)
Thank you everyone for your thoughtful comments. I admit I did think about not posting this because of the car taillights. I debated with myself and decided this is what I saw. I appreciate your honest feedback.
