The oldest of my brothers and me, about 1956-57. My mother would have smocked that dress. No I was not a child photographer, so I can't take any credit for this. But a fun one from my family photos.
Super portrait, you look to be about the same age as me!
Yes it was me going to the garage to get my new car, we have it now and we havnt been anywhere in it yet, just drove it home. It’s got about 80 miles on the clock!! Hopefully things will start easing in the next few weeks and we will get a chance to use it.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Oh my, Jackie. @grammyn Thank you Katy. @serendypyty Thanks Cazzi. @wakelys Thank you Susan. @pyrrhula Thanks Ferry. I actually only remember the photo, not the taking of it. @digitalrn Thank you Rick. @thewatersphotos I'll have to get this out one day and see the studio that did it. Thanks Gary. @kjarn Thank you Kathy. @bkbinthecity And figure that a lot of us are a bunch of old coots. Thanks Brian. @pusspup Thank you Wylie. Yes. I don't know anyone who does it nowadays, but I'll be there is some crafty person out there keeping this skill alive. @jamibann I guess this photographer was good at what he/she did. Thanks Issi. @tunia I have seen photos of 3 dresses she made. (old Christmas photos) Thank you for sharing your memories too Tunia. @craftymeg It may well be that we're close in age. Good to hear about your car. You might need to take it on a spin every now and then to keep the battery charged and the "joints" oiled up. I take my husband's truck out every 2 to 3 weeks for that reason at the recommendation of the mechanic. @yolanda Thank you Yolanda. @olivetreeann Thank you Ann. Yes, it would be nice to have some of those things, but hopefully somebody got and wore it after I was through with it.
@vignouse I guess if one took children to a studio they could have something like this done. People are more casual now and like the playful ones better, I think.
